- The QuickSale mobile app doesn't process PIN debit cards.
What do you want to do?
Accept credit and signature debit payments
Follow these steps to accept payments from a credit card or signature debit card.
- Log in to the QuickSale app.
- Do you want to swipe or enter a card? Follow the steps below.
Swipe a card:
- From the QuickSale screen, swipe the card.
- Enter the Amount.
- Enter any optional information.
Enter a card:
- From the QuickSale screen, tap Transactions > Credit > Sale.
- Enter the following information.
- Name
- Card#
- Exp Date (enter a two-digit month and year in mmyy format)
- Card Present (tap this switch if the card is present)
- Customer# (optional, if you enabled the option to track customers' transactions)
- [Clerk# or similar label] (optional, if you enabled the option to track clerks' transactions. This field name is customizable and may appear as Clerk#, Employee#, Server Id, or other variation. Also, this field is case-sensitive; for example, if you enter "Jen" one time and enter "jen" another time, the names are treated as different people.)
- Invoice# (optional, if you enabled invoice numbers. This field name is customizable and may appear as Ticket#, Job#, or Order#.)
- Address (recommended; enter the street number of the cardholder's billing address)
- Zip Code (recommended; enter the ZIP code of the cardholder's billing address)
- CVVI (optional, if you enabled security codes. Select an option if you don't want to enter the CVV during card-not-present transactions.
- CVV (recommended, if you enabled security codes)
- Amount
- Tax Amount (optional, if you enabled taxes)
- Tip (% or Amount) (optional, if you enabled tips. Note that you can't adjust a tip after you complete a transaction.)
- Tap Actions > Submit.
- If you enabled signatures, ask the customer to sign the screen and tap Submit.
- If you enabled receipts, a paper receipt automatically prints if a printer is connected to your mobile device. To email a receipt, enter the customer's email address and tap Send.
Successful transactions are automatically settled before midnight on the same day.
Accept cash payments
- Log in to the QuickSale app.
- Tap Transactions > Cash > Sale.
- Enter the Amount.
- Enter the following optional information, if applicable.
- Customer# (if you enabled the option to track customers' transactions)
- [Clerk# or similar label] if you enabled the option to track clerks' transactions. This field name is customizable and may appear as Clerk#, Employee#, Server Id, or other variation.)
- Tax Amount (if you enabled taxes)
- Tip (% or Amount) (if you enabled tips. Note that you can't adjust a tip after you complete a transaction.)
- Tap Actions > Submit.
- If you enabled receipts, a paper receipt automatically prints if a printer is connected to your mobile device. To email a receipt, enter the customer's email address and tap Send.
