This article describes a variety of settings in CHARGE Anywhere's QuickSale mobile app that you can turn on to help reduce your risk of fraud.
- Log in to the QuickSale app.
Note:If you don't have the QuickSale app, please see Set up a CHARGE Anywhere mobile solution.
- From the QuickSale screen, tap Config > Security > Fraud Control.
- Tap any of the following fraud control options and complete the steps.
Enter Last 4 Digits — When this option is on, you'll be prompted to enter the last four digits of a card's number during every transaction. The app will compare the four digits you enter against the account number stored in a card's magnetic stripe or chip.
Name/Card#
- Tap one of the following options:
- Hide — The name on the card and the card number will not appear on your screen during a transaction.
- Show — The full name on the card and the entire card number will appear on your screen during a transaction.
- Truncate — The full name on the card and the last four digits of the card's number will appear on your screen during a transaction.
- Tap Back
to return to the main Fraud Control screen, where you can save your changes or select other fraud control options.
Card Present
- Tap one of the following options:
- Always Ask — You'll be prompted to confirm a card is present during every transaction.
- Ask, If Manual — You'll be prompted to confirm a card is present when you manually enter a card.
- Do Not Ask — You'll never be prompted to confirm a card is present during a transaction.
- Tap Back
to return to the main Fraud Control screen, where you can save your changes or select other fraud control options.
AVS
- Tap one of the following options. (Tip: When this option is on, you can still skip the AVS during a transaction.)
- Always Ask — You'll be prompted to enter the street number of the cardholder's billing address during every transaction. The Address Verification Service will compare the street number you enter with the billing address associated with the card.
- Ask, If Manual — You'll be prompted to enter the street number of the cardholder's billing address only when you manually enter a card.
- Card Not Present — If you selected a Card Present option to confirm when a card is present, you'll be prompted to enter the street number of the cardholder's billing address when a card is not present. You'll also be able to bypass the AVS if necessary.
- Do Not Ask — You'll never be prompted to enter a cardholder's billing address during a transaction.
- Tap Back
to return to the main Fraud Control screen, where you can save your changes or select other fraud control options.
CVV
- Tap one of the following options. (Tip: When this option is on, you can still skip the CVV during a transaction.)
- Ask, If Manual — You'll be prompted to enter a card's three-digit or four-digit security code only when you manually enter a card.
- Card Not Present — If you selected a Card Present option to confirm when a card is present, you'll be prompted to enter a card's three-digit or four-digit security code when a card is not present. You'll also be able to bypass the CVV if necessary.
- Do Not Ask — You'll never be prompted to enter a card's security code during a transaction.
- Tap Back
to return to the main Fraud Control screen, where you can save your changes or select other fraud control options.
Receipt Truncation
- Tap the All Copies option. The full name on the card and the last four digits of the card's number will appear on all receipts.
Important! It is a violation of card brands' regulations to include the full card number on any receipt.
- Tap Back
to return to the main Fraud Control screen, where you can save your changes or select other fraud control options.
- Tap one of the following options:
- Tap Save.
- To return to the main QuickSale screen, tap Back
twice.
