VXN Error 53 signifies the terminal is not detecting an internet connection.
- Check your internet connection from a computer by opening a browser and visiting a new website to be sure the internet works.
- If the internet is not working, try rebooting the router. Unplug any Cat 5 wires from the router, then unplug the power chord for the router and wait for over 30 seconds. Plug everything back into the router and test the internet connection by visiting a website from a computer. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your Internet Service Provider.
- If the internet is working, try rebooting your terminal. Unplug the power and all cables to the terminal. Wait for over 30 seconds and then plug in the chords and turn the terminal on. Wait patiently for the terminal to connect to the router and try again.
FD150 Troubleshooting
- Check the following if you are having difficulty downloading software or submitting transactions.
- Check the cables to ensure they are securely connected to the correct port on the router and the terminal.
- Check to ensure the credit card terminal’s green and amber lights are on. These lights typically will be near the Cat 5 cable.
- Reboot your terminal and your router
- Unplug the power chord to the terminal and the power chord to the router.
- Remove the CAT 5 cable connecting the router to the terminal.
- Keep the power off of both devices for up to one minute. Plug the Cat 5 cable back in and turn on the power to the terminal and router.
- If you are connected to the same router with another device like a smart phone or computer, open a browser and visit a website to ensure that the router is working.
First Data Vxn Error 52 error
This error code is common for Windows software. This error and other similar errors are typically caused by the configuration of system files on Windows software. If you receive this error, you should restore your computer to an earlier time before the error.
- Log on as an administrator to your computer.
- Locate the System Restore by clicking the Start button then selecting All Programs, Accessories, and System Tools.
- Click the “Restore my computer to an earlier time” option and then select Next.
- Click the system restore point you want from the list. Select the most recent point, select Next and again click Next on the confirmation prompt.
- Restart the computer when the restoration is finished.
Printing/Paper Issues
- Locate the paper bay at the top of the terminal.
- Open up the paper bay by pulling the black latch up.
- Grab your new roll of paper.
- Place paper roll into the paper bay ensuring shiny side up and facing away from the terminal screen.
- Make sure excess paper hangs outside of the paper bay.
- Close the paper bay.
- Remove any excess paper.
Date/Time Are Off
- Touch the orange tools icon in the top right-hand corner of the touch screen
- Touch date/time.
- Key in new date in MMDDYYYY format – for example October 28th, 2020 would be 10282020
- Press Enter
- Enter the current time in military time (ex: 2:30pm would be 143000)
- Press Enter
- Press the red cancel key until you are back on the home screen to see the updated date and time
VX Errors
VXN 52/53/54 = communication error, check internet or phone line
VXN13 = Datawire needs to be setup - Call Clark Client Services
- If datawire confirms it is setup complete the following:
- Make sure datawire is turned on in buypass tools under both the merchant tab and terminal tab
- Then on the terminal go to orange wrench> settings> credit> clear DID.
- Call FD help desk and ask them to reset the data Wire/or clear DID
VXN58 = Datawire needs to be reset - Call Clark Client Services
