Creating a Plan
This would be helpful to create if you have common pricing and common frequencies in which you bill, and will generally charge the same thing for multiple customers.
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click on Add Plan in the left panel menu.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose how often you want to charge the customer.
- Choose how many times you want to charge the customer.
- Give the plan a name and ID.
- Click Save.
Creating a Recurring Payment Template
This would be helpful to create if you have common order detail requirements, and will generally add the same order details frequently.
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click on Add Subscription in the left panel menu.
- Click the Order Templates at the top.
- Click Add at the top.
- Give the template a name.
- Give the template and ID.
- Enter the amount.
- Add a description, shipping costs, tax and any itemized products if applicable.
- Click Save Template at the top.
Creating a Recurring Payment
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click on Add Subscription in the left panel menu.
- If you have order templates, click the Order Templates at the top, then click Use template. If you do not use templates, continue to step 5.
- Once you do this, the order information will be populated.
- Enter the credit card number.
- Add the expiration date.
- Add the Customer Information (note: see Creating a Recurring Payment from Existing Customer below if you would like to have this information populated).
- If you have Existing Plans that you have created, choose the Plan in the drop down, then skip to step 14.
- If you do not have Existing Plans, you can continue to step 9.
- If you need a new one, you can either create a new plan first, or click the Click Here hyperlink above the save button.
- Click Continue at the bottom.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose how often you want to charge the customer.
- Choose how many times you want to charge the customer.
- Choose the Start date for the payment.
- Click Save at the bottom.
Creating a Recurring Payment from an Existing Customer
If you do not have existing customers, you will need to add one first. Customer Management on NMI
- Login to NMI.
- Click Customer Vault in the left panel menu.
- Click on List Customers in the left panel menu.
- Search for the customer or click submit to see all customers.
- Click the
icon under Actions for the customer you need.
- If you have order templates, click the Order Templates at the top, then click Use template. If you do not use templates, continue to step 7.
- Once you do this, the order information will be populated.
- Review the information that is populated and confirm that it is accurate.
- Click Continue at the bottom.
- If you have Existing Plans that you have created, choose the Plan in the drop down, then skip to step 15.
- If you do not have Existing Plans, you can continue to step 10.
- If you need a new one, you can either create a new plan first, or click the Click Here hyperlink above the save button.
- Click Continue at the bottom.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose how often you want to charge the customer.
- Choose how many times you want to charge the customer.
- Choose the Start date for the payment.
- Click Save at the bottom.
Edit a Recurring Payment
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click List Subscriptions in the left panel menu.
- You can either enter search criteria to find one, or scroll through the list at the bottom.
- Click on the Customer that you need to edit.
- Make necessary changes.
- Click Save at the bottom.
Pause a Recurring Payment
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click List Subscriptions in the left panel menu.
- You can either enter search criteria to find one, or scroll through the list at the bottom.
- Click on the Customer that you need to pause.
- Check the box that says Subscription is Paused.
- Click Save at the bottom.
Delete a Recurring Payment
- Login to NMI.
- Click Recurring in the left panel menu.
- Click List Subscriptions in the left panel menu.
- You can either enter search criteria to find one, or scroll through the list at the bottom.
- Click on the Customer that you need to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Click Ok to confirm.
