How to Process a Void on VeriFone Engage

A Void is a transaction that will cancel an unsettled sale, authorization, or captured authorization. Voids can only be performed before settlement; if the given transaction has been settled then a Refund must be performed.

1. Select Reversal.
2. Select Full to reverse the full amount or you can select Partial to reverse a partial amount.
3. Select Last to reverse the last transaction entered or you can select Any to reverse any other transaction.
4. If prompted, select Transaction ID, Card Last 4, or Clerk ID/Server.
5. If prompted, key in the transaction ID number, the last four digits of the account number, or the clerk/server number, and then press Enter or select OK.
6. Select Prev or Next to scroll through the transactions or you can choose Select to choose the transaction.
7. Press Enter or select Yes to confirm.
