Tax on SwipeSimple

Enable Tax Settings 

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Account Settings in the left panel menu.
3. Select Transactions.
4. Look for the Tax Settings section, and choose Yes for Collect Tax?
5. Click Save. 

Add Tax Rates

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Account Settings in the left panel menu.
3. Select Tax Rates.
4. Click Add New Tax Rate.
5. Give it a name.
6. Add the rate.
7. Click Create Tax Rate.

Edit Tax Rates

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Account Settings in the left panel menu.
3. Click Edit to the left of the tax rate you wish to update.
4. Make any changes needed. 
5. Click Update Tax Rate.

Delete Tax Rates

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Account Settings in the left panel menu.
3. Click Delete to the left of the tax rate you wish to delete.

Enable Item-Level Taxes

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Item Catalog in the left panel menu.
3. Choose the item to edit or create a new item, and select the Taxable or Prompt for Tax options from the bottom of the screen, then select which tax rate will apply to that specific item.

Bulk Update Item-Level Taxes

1. Login to SwipeSimple.
2. Go to Item Catalog in the left panel menu.
3. Click the check boxes for each item you wish to add taxes to or remove taxes from.
4. Click Edit _ Items.
5. Click the Taxability box.
6. Choose Taxable or Non-Taxable.
7. Click Apply.
